چکیده
Bursting bubbles are one of the most common mechanisms in aerosols’ formation from natural and artificial waterbodies. The presence microbial materials liquid could cause their aerosolization generation bioaerosols. process depends on a number parameters gas involved. This project investigated influence air flow, bubble size, temperature its surface tension efficiency bioaerosol generation. It was found that is more efficiently produced at higher flow rates smaller size. also identified to be quite high, reaching an order magnitude concentration over range 4 °C 38 °C. addition surfactants did suppress foam formation, which have negative effect process; rate increased with increase antifoam concentration.

Inactivation of viruses in bubbling processes utilized for personal bioaerosol monitoring.
A new personal bioaerosol sampler has recently been developed and evaluated for sampling of viable airborne bacteria and fungi under controlled laboratory conditions and in the field. The operational principle of the device is based on the passage of air through porous medium immersed in liquid. This process leads to the formation of bubbles within the filter as the carrier gas passes through a...
متن کاملKinetic Theory Microstructure Modeling in Concentrated Suspensions
When suspensions involving rigid rods become too concentrated, standard dilute theories fail to describe their behavior. Rich microstructures involving complex clusters are observed, and no model allows describing its kinematics and rheological effects. In previous works the authors propose a first attempt to describe such clusters from a micromechanical model, but neither its validity nor the ...
متن کاملDynamics of permeable particles in concentrated suspensions.
We calculate short-time diffusion properties of suspensions of porous colloidal particles as a function of their permeability, for the full fluid-phase concentration range. The particles are modeled as spheres of uniform permeability with excluded volume interactions. Using a precise multipole method encoded in the HYDROMULTIPOLE program, results are presented for the hydrodynamic function, H(q...
متن کاملMicrostructure in sheared non-Brownian concentrated suspensions
The shear-induced microstructure in non-Brownian suspensions is studied. The Pair Distribution Function in the shear plane is experimentally determined for particle volume fractions ranging from 0.05 to 0.56. Transparent suspensions made of PMMA particles (172μm in diameter) dispersed in a fluorescent index matched Newtonian liquid is sheared in a wide gap Couette rheometer. A thin laser sheet ...
